Locking devices have to be suitable for different techniques· to manufacture a prosthesis. They provide the safe connection between stump and prosthesis. High reliability and easy handling are important factors having the highest priority during designing and development.

The Locking System Series 0 is made of aluminum and is used in combination with a lamination anchor. These locking devices are provided with an outside thread M36x1.5 proximally and an inside thread M36x1.5 distally. Distal connecting adaptors with pyramid, pyramid receiver or tube receiver up to shifting adaptors offer a wide range of connection possibilities for a perfect and individual fitting.

The Locking System Series 1 is made of aluminum. The distal connection is done through a 4-hole Euro connection and the proximal connection through a lamination disk which can be used in lamination or in deep drawing technique. The further assembling of the prosthesis can be variably done through the distal 4-hole Euro connection.

The Locking System Series 2 is, similar to the Locking System of the Series 0, proximally joined to a lamination anchor by means of an outside thread M36x1.5. This adaptor is stiffly connected with the prosthetic socket. The base bodies of the Series 2 are available with pyramid as well as with pyramid receiver.

The systems of the Series 3 and Series 4 are intended for lamination technique whereas the locking base body is fixed in the laminate. A low height and an easy treatment at a maximum robustness are typical for these locking devices.

The Series 5 is made of plastics and stands out by its low weight. It is suitable for deep drawing as well as lamination technique. Connecting possibilities are given through the lamination disks with· Euro connection and through the socket adaptor with pyramid for a further modular assembling as well as without connecting adaptor if the locking device is integrated into the foam.

Within the locking devices of the Series 2, 3 and 5, an exchange of the systems Shuttle Lock, LITE Lock or pulling-in mechanism can always be effected for an individual fitting. At the Series 4, an exchange between Clutch Lock and pulling-in mechanism can be done.
The mechanical interchangeable inserts can be easily exchanged through the prosthetic socket for an easy service or a system change without dismounting the prosthesis or the outer cosmetic cover.
